On the second floor of an abandoned house, I found this cell with a painted heart. The place is really tiny and dark but so fascinating for the vaults of the ceiling and the weird steps, I decided not to use ultrawide optics but several shots and then compose them.
The graffiti on the sides are in different places, in the same building, and I photographed them flat.
The final composition was made by mapping at least 10 of the photos taken, adding the points of light, and drawing the sparks and the liquid that comes out of the cell. The result was an image with a vertical extension of 12,000 pixels.
Micah Offman as a photographer resided in Tucson, AZ but had the opportunity to travel throughout the world and, as a result, the chance to capture a host of intriguing images from many different countries. Micah is interested in photographing disparate subjects, often filtered with dream-like atmospheres or with music as inspiration. All of his images have a special look that is the result of his commitment to making photographs treated in detail. Furthermore, his passion for science fiction and fantasy themes has also led him to produce some works using AI (Artificial Intelligence) finding its originality here too. Laurel Adams
Micah, this type of photoartistic compositional montage is what I get excited about as a traditional hand artist! You are literally “telling a story”, entering the FLOW and FEEL of the mystery of your interest. Your work always respectfully examines and shines Light within dark spaces to uplift, even beautify, that which might be otherwise “labeled” and discarded.
Micah Offman replied:
Thank you so much, Laurel!
