Artist's Description
On the second floor of an abandoned house, I found this cell with a painted heart. The place is really tiny and dark but so fascinating for the vaults of the ceiling and the weird steps, I decided not to use ultrawide optics but several shots and then compose them.
The graffiti on the sides are in different places, in the same building, and I photographed them flat.
The final composition was made by mapping at least 10 of the photos taken, adding the points of light, and drawing the sparks and the liquid that comes out of the cell. The result was an image with a vertical extension of 12,000 pixels.

Micah, this type of photoartistic compositional montage is what I get excited about as a traditional hand artist! You are literally “telling a story”, entering the FLOW and FEEL of the mystery of your interest. Your work always respectfully examines and shines Light within dark spaces to uplift, even beautify, that which might be otherwise “labeled” and discarded.
Micah Offman replied:
Thank you so much, Laurel!
