I visited Salamanca and its huge cathedral, moved away from the city center looking for tranquillity, crossed the bridge over the Douro River, and found the silence I needed on the opposite bank of the city.
These trees, so tall and straight as pillars, are reminiscent of the stone ones of the cathedral, and through them, the cathedral is still visible, far in the background.
