Artist's Description
The Bizkaia bridge, sometimes called Puente Colgante, connects Portugalete with Getxo and is an old industrial structure that has become a cross between a funicular and a ferry.
It is one of a kind and relentlessly carries cars, trucks, and passengers back and forth between the two banks of the Ria. The Portugalete side can be recognized by the gigantic plastic orange duck imprisoned in one of the pylons.
World Heritage Site, declared by UNESCO, since 2006 in Spain
