Description
Medersa Ben Youssef is a historic Islamic school located in the heart of Marrakech. Built in the 14th century, on the ground floor, the Prayer Hall is adorned with sculptured plaster, featuring an ornamental design inspired by flora, geometry and epigraphy.
What appears to be a geometric pattern is actually prayer and invocation repeated everywhere on the walls and sarcophagus.
