The bridge over the river Verdugo divides Concellos Soutomaior and Pontevedra (Spain).
The bridges had ten semicircular arches and sharp embankments witnessed in June 1809 confrontation between the Spanish army and French.
Colonel Pablo Morillo ordered to the destruction of several arches of the bridge and stood up to Marshal Ney on the south bank of the river Verdugo, who could not cope for two days an army of volunteers and peasants finally had to withdraw with heavy casualties.
Micah Offman as a photographer resided in Tucson, AZ but had the opportunity to travel throughout the world and, as a result, the chance to capture a host of intriguing images from many different countries. Micah is interested in photographing disparate subjects, often filtered with dream-like atmospheres or with music as inspiration.
