Description
The Monastery of Leyre is one of Spain's most fascinating medieval architecture.
The crypt supports the church apse above it. The ornaments are simple romanesque art but these stones proudly recount its more than a thousand years old history.
I am grateful they gave me the keys to the crypt and the basilic for my investigation.
