Loving this statement art and lyric...my experience-peace? like Joy is an inside job and you know, it don't come easy.

Micah Offman replied:

For those who want to listen to the song, don't be scared by the initial feedback that lasts more than half a minute. https://youtu.be/0uk0z9nTiz4?si=y6Sfdlk-1wP4qZH9

Micah that is good that you are at peace with it. I had an insecure childhood, then moved a lot, I long for a place where I belong. Maybe that's an illusion. I wrote a song about it. Just recorded my first CD of original songs. Will release it when we copyright it.

I relate to this. I have been searching for place all of my life, since Mom died when I was 14 and home was not home anymore. I thought I found it, but it isn't here. The search continues.

Micah Offman replied:

Marie, you know... I'm a stranger everywhere! I accepted my condition and, in the end, I love it.

Artist's Description

Driving in no man's land, the far west of Cuba, and listening to "Peace" by Anders Osborne from my player... the perfect description of my life now.

Gotta be something down this highway,
Something familiar, someone I know,
I'm sick and tired of doing it my way,
I need something sacred, and somewhere slow.
Looking for the same upon every mountain,
Down on every beach.
Playing all my songs all the way from Woodstock,
Down to New Orleans,
And I'm still looking, oh I'm looking,
Looking for a day of peace.
Sometimes death comes like a blessing,
And sometimes big dreams can kill a man.
I've seen dirty needles turn into wisdom,
And I've seen love I don't understand.
Been looking for the same upon every mountain,
And down on every beach.
Playing all my songs all the way from Woodstock,
Down to New Orleans,
But I'm still looking, oh I'm looking,
Looking for a day of peace.

[Anders Osborne]

Micah Offman is a visionary photographer, critically acclaimed for his singular eye and captivating aesthetic, he is pushing the boundary of photography into a complex art form with his creativity. After years spent in the recording studio working alongside musical artists, he continued to have music among his main sources of inspiration while working with images. He incorporates these documentary forms into building a layered narrative through street people. Through these works, we journey alongside Micah through terrains both geographic and emotional....
