Artist's Description
This bridge is the only connection to the mainland for Gaztelugatxe, an islet on the coast of Biscay, Spain.
On top of the island stands a hermitage of San Juan (Gaztelugatxeko Doniene in Basque) that dates from the 9th-10th century.
The path, which has 231 steps, was closed following a landslide and reopened in May 2022.
For season seven of Game of Thrones several scenes were filmed here with a digitally created castle on top of the islet.
